How does the O Scope differ from magnifying loupes or loupe glasses?
Like with the fixed microscope, the headworn Vorotek O Scope actually brings your pupils together so you can look into a narrow channel with both eyes.
With loupes or loupe glasses, your pupil distance remains as it is with the result that you can only see deeply into the ear or nose with one eye. As a result, you lack depth and sharpness of vision.
For working safely and confidently in the ear or nose with direct vision, the Vorotek O Scope is the superior tool to use.
Advantages of the O Scope

Speed
Not time wasted with precisely positioning the patient for treatment. You have a 10cm area of sharpness.

Flexibility
Treatments can be carried out outside the outpatient clinic e.g. in the operating room, the emergency department or outside the hospital.

Mobility
The ENT doctor can have the O Scope with them at all times and use the microscope with or without surgical headlight function.

Convenience with children with difficulty sitting still
The flexibility of the Vorotek O Scope combined with a relatively long area of sharp vision makes it ideally suited for the treatment of mobile patients.

Range
Treatments can be carried out outside the hospital on site, e.g., in a care facility or at the doctor's office.

Cost
The investment in an O Scope is only a fraction of the investment in an expensive surgical microscope.
Technical aspects of the O Scope

Converging Binocular Optics
The O Scope brings your pupils together to an IPD of 12 mm, allowing both eyes to work together naturally for a precise, accurate and clear image.

Fully customizable IPD
You can easily change the settings of the O Scope to your specific interpupillary distance or IPD. And is thus easily interchangeable between users.

Integrated LED lighting
The powerful 55,000 LUX surgical headlight provides pure white and shadow-free illumination of the field of view. The illumination works with or without the microscope in the up or down position.

Ergonomic design
The headworn, lightweight and hands-free design ensures that the microscope and lighting are precisely converging.

Dual functionality
The microscope function can be rotated upwards out of view so that only the surgical headlight can be used or eye contact with the patient can be made.

Portable & AC power supply
The unique battery pack with lithium-ion battery offers 8 to 20 hours of use and fully charges in 4 hours. The charger / AC power supply can also be used to provide continuous operation.
How do I choose the right O Scope?
Step 1: Choose either the Headband or Specframe model
The Vorotek O Scope Headband
The O Scope Headband can be used over your regular glasses. This makes it ideal for shared use within a team. Like the Specframe, you can easily adjust it to your individual pupil distance (IPD). The Vorotek O Scope Headband is even slightly lighter than the Specframe, which is nice, but requires a bit more setting up time because it lacks a fixed frame with personal setting.
The Vorotek O Scope Specframe
The O Scope Specframe has a fixed spectacle frame with neutral lenses that you can have adjusted to your prescription if necessary. It is therefore for personal use. Like the Headband, it is easily adjustable to your pupil distance (IPD). The O Scope Specframe is slightly heavier than the Headband, but requires less setting up time because it has a fixed frame.
Step 2: Then choose the desired working distance and magnification
We offer 2 versions of the Headband and 2 versions of the Specframe for you to choose from: the 2 or 3 dioptre version.
What is the difference between 2 and 3 dioptre?
2 Dioptre
Working distance 0.50 m
Magnification 1.50 x
3 Dioptre
Working distance 0.33 m
Magnification 1.75 x
