Professional Training in Cerumen Management with Microsuction for audiologists and general practitioners.
We train you to remove earwax under direct vision using microsuction and curettage techniques.
After our thorough training, you can safely and confidently remove wax and foreign objects (such as plugs) from the ear.
Where necessary and required (as in the Netherlands), you will work with the supervision of a medical specialist.
Our target audience:
GPs, their assistants and nurses who want to switch from Earwax Removal with irrigation to microsuction and curettage.
Irrigation to remove cerumen introduces water under pressure into the ear canal and you cannot see what you are doing. Earwax Removal with microsuction is safe, clean and fast.
Audiologists and Hearing Care Professionals who are looking to start removing Ear Wax in their retail outlets.

What is Microsuction?
Our training consists of 3 components that collectively ensure that you are thoroughly trained in both theory and practice:
- Dry Ear Cleaning Training – Theory (Clear Ears E-Learning Module)
- Dry Ear Canal Cleaning Training – Hands-on Training Practical Use of Equipment (1 half day)
- Dry Ear Canal Cleaning Training – 20x Earwax Removal in Practice with ENT Supervision
You can purchase the components separately or as a package.
Once you pay for component 1, you will receive a voucher that will allow you to access the Clear Ears online training environment and get started right away. To ensure you optimise your learning access to the Clear Ears E-Learning portal is limited to 6 weeks. Ongoing access to the portal is by subscription on completion of the course.
If you have already purchased the appropriate equipment and obtained the Theory Certificate, you will be given access to part 2 – the Hands-on Training: Training dates will be sent to you so that you can register in time.
After component 2, you will be familiar with the equipment and get to work in your own environment with component 3 – 20x earwax removal under supervision where you will have access to the MPS Routeplanner© and the Earwax File©.
Upon successful completion of these 3 sections, you will earn the certificate “Dry Earwax Cleaning – Theory & Practice” and maintain access to the MPS Route Planner© and the Earwax File©.
You are now ready to remove earwax independently but always under the supervision of a medical specialist:
- Are you an audiologist? In countries like The Netherlands where earwax removal is a medical treatment, you will always work under ENT supervision and sign up for a subscription per store to work in the extended arm of the ENT doctor.
- Are you a physician assistant? In that case, you work under the supervision of your primary care physician.

- Binocular view with light source such as the fixed microscope or the Vorotek O Scope head-mounted microscope
- A video otoscope, preferably one that can work as a webcam
