Already 40 audiology stores offer earwax removal in The Netherlands

- You have to schedule an extra follow-up appointment and that takes valuable time
- You have no certainty that the customer will actually come back to you after his/her appointment with the GP

At the moment, it is still mostly entrepreneurs/hearing care professionals with 1 to 3 stores who dive into this gap in the market. They see the opportunity this offers and choose to market themselves as a complete ear care provider.
The ear care chains are now also taking steps to understand – not if – but how they are going along with this development in the market. By now, most chains have trained one or more hearing care professionals and are looking at how to fit this into business operations.
