The origins of the Vorotek O Scope head-mounted microscope are in Australia.

ENT specialist John Vorrath developed it to complement the large bulky microscope that is mostly fixed in one place.

And so the idea for a head-borne microscope was developed.

With an ingenious mirror system, the Vorotek O Scope reduces your pupil distance or IPD to 12mm.

As a result, you can see with both eyes to the back of an ear or nose with a sharpness/depth area of 10 cm.

The magnification is around 2x which is enough to do around 70% of an ENT doctor’s daily activities.

Working with the O Scope is much faster and easier than with a large fixed microscope. While the investment is only a fraction of the fixed microscope.

Many hospitals therefore purchase the O Scope as a complement to the fixed microscope. It really adds value to look for the combination.
